About Persecuted Christians

Persecuted Christians Care Fund

Persecuted Christians Care Fund exists to provide a voice for believers who are suffering for their faith . . . to rally prayer, moral and political support for them . . . to supply some of their physical and spiritual needs . . . and to work for peace among the more than 5,000 ethnic and religious groups sharing less than 200 countries in this “global village” that is our modern world.

A pervasive problem

Research shows that more Christians have been martyred during the past century than in all the previous 1900 years of church history combined. Over 150,000 individuals are killed each year for their faith in Jesus Christ. And the persecution of believers continues to grow. Today more Christians are being oppressed for their faith than ever before—at least 200 million in more than 50 countries. This very moment Christians are being harassed, jailed, tortured, even martyred. Just take a look at the daily headlines:

(2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

“Continue to remember those in prison . . . and those who are mistreated.“
(Hebrews 13:3)

Jesus said, “I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:36)

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew.5:44)

“As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” (Galatians 6:10)

“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.” (Romans 12:10)
